DUB SIDE HITS SOUTH AMERICA!

May 3, 2006—Having just completed one adventure—a first ever tour of Europe—the Easy Star All-Stars are already looking forward to stepping on to a new continent once more. Starting May 11, the band will bring its live rendition of Dub Side of the Moon (the complete reggae version of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon) to Brazil and Argentina. Five shows are planned in Porto Allegre, Sao Paolo, Belo Horizonte, and Rio de Janeiro in Brasil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

These tour dates will come one month before the band’s brand new DVD, Dub Side of the Moon Live, is released. That DVD features a performance from September 2005 at the State Theater in Falls Church, Virginia, mixed with original animation.

The European outing was a great success. The biggest crowds could be found once the band hit Italy, where they drew over 800 people in both Rome and Naples, as well as 500 or more in Torino, Venice and Ancona. Plans are already being worked out to return the group to Italy for more shows this summer.

The band is especially excited for the South American dates, as they know that Brazilians and Argentinians both love reggae music and Pink Floyd. As usual, the band will perform its own original tracks as well as Dub Side of the Moon at each concert.

Dub Side of the Moon is available in Brazil through Deckdisc and in Argentina through Discos CNR.

May 11 Porto Allegre, Brasil (Pepsi Hall)
May 12 Sao Paulo, Brasil (Via Funchal)
May 13 Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (Circo Voador)
May 14 Belo Horizonte, Brasil (Marista Hall)
May 17 Buenos Aires, Argentina (Luna Park)
